We are looking for an enthusiastic, positive and friendly person to join our 70 year old family owned and run business of wood machinists as a trainee. No experience required as all on site training will be given. We carry out all types of wood machining on site from panel cutting, machining hardwood & softwood, making jointed panels / worktops, producing mouldings, CNC routering, edge banding, sanding and assembly, so work is varied.
The ideal candidate will be versatile and adaptable. Time keeping and punctuality is a must, customers rely on us being here to provide the service we offer. You will be required to adhere to the Company’s high standards of Health and Safety. You will need to be fluent in English, spoken and written.
The hourly rate will depend on age and experience.
Hours are 08:00 to 12:30 and 13:20 to 17:00 Mon-Fri.
20 days holiday per year (to be taken when factory closes in December, May/June & August, see below) plus Bank Holidays.
Pension scheme in place.

Easter 2023 – 7th April until 10th April inclusive.
May Day 2023 – 29th April until 1st May inclusive.
Spring 2023 – 27th May until 4th June inclusive.
Summer 2023 – 12th August until 28th August inclusive.
